El Molino del Río

The tour went from Torrevieja to the hotel El Molino del Rio near Caravaca de la Cruz. It takes a few hours from Torrevieja to the hotel by car, but don’t worry, you have decided to stay there one night. The hotel is a converted mill house situated on the now dry or tiny river Argos. The building is containing eight rooms with a total of 30 beds. We had a nice evening with good food/drink at a nice fireplace. The room we had was cozy with an old feel, but clean and tidy. In the garden there was an outside dining/bar with a light and airy ceiling over the tables. In the light and warm season, we envisage pleasant and relaxing evenings.

On our way to the hotel, we had a stop in Alhama de Murcia. There we made a visit to the Museo Arqueologico Los Banos. These are remaings from more than 2000 years ago.

The next day we went to Caravaca de la Cruz. The church is a large, old stone church. A little walk away is the fortress that protects the city.

Kart her .
