Daya Vieja is a small town some minutes north of Torrevieja and also north of Rojales. There is a church and an interesting public watch tower in the central square.
With a visit to Elche we visited the Museu Arqueologic I D’Historia D’Elx and the Palm Grove. Both very interesting visit destinations. Recommended, with some information here.
