Last Saturday night my wife and I were invited by a friend, who is a Rotary member, to participate in an event in Alzheimer Association in Torrevieja. Rotary members attended to support this association, and we four Norwegians had the pleasure to sit at a table with three English and two Spaniards. You are right to believe that this gave a nice mix of languages as well as a variety of cultural impression and expression. We soon thawed out and enjoyed the laughter as well as the tapas being brought in under simple conditions. The primary of this event was not porcelain and silverware, but to show solidarity, to thank the parents for work done and encourage them for the days ahead.
The event took place outdoors, and we were seated by a brick wall that had been given a prominent and positive tagging: two persons having found each other in a firm embrace. Thanks for letting me sit at such a table, under such a meaningful tagging.
